• Armed with the Windler Boots and Orla's Chain, Will, Drakor, Paradox and Elara set out to set their plan in motion and finally breach the magical barrier known as the Golden Veil and save the town's children trapped within the Church of Saint Prudentia.
• With creativity and bravery, the heroes utilized Orla's Chain and some rope to make a magic zipline that gained them access into the the church's belfry that was poking up through the ever-shrinking Veil. Once inside the bell tower, they began to see the alien and dream-like effects that have been going on since the church has been cut-off from the rest of the world.
• Down the bell tower stairs and onto the roof of the church, the party discover more strangeness and a few of the surviving townsfolk. A young boy named Lucas and Sister Ruth, an elderly cleric of the church, are discovered hiding, their minds confused and their memories unsure. Sister Ruth recognizes Will from Ragged Hollow and presents him with a minor relic from the church that she has been hiding in a chest.

• They continued onwards down the spiraling stairs to the Dormitory level. The walls were somehow running with blood and the floor flooded in it. Eerie faces pushed outwards through the walls making silent screams in a disturbing nightmarish scene. Each room they entered contained some surreal scene and they discovered severed animal heads on a table having a conversation about the weather. When the tablecloth was snatched away, an undead dire wolf attacked and was quickly destroyed.
